Highgate Society 50:50 Club
Dear Club Members... I am delighted to inform you that the following are winners in the recent draw of the Highgate Society’s 50:50 Club.
We had £220 in the pot for distribution as prize money.
First Prize - £80 - Jane Gordon
Second Prize - £60 - Jan Morgan
Third Prize - £40 - Nigel Giffin
Fourth Prize - £25 - Alan Taylor
Fifth Prize - £15 - Richard Waddington
Following the summer draw, £160 was distributed as prize money. Several people responded to the November 2009 appeal for new members. So we had a much larger sum of money in the pot for the recent draw. I welcome each and everyone of you new members to the Club and thank you for your support. May I also thank existing members who responded generously by renewing and, in many cases, increasing the amount of their subscription.
As you know, there is a minimum £10 annual contribution which entitles you to participate in two draws each year. Each additional £10 contributed gives you a further ticket in each draw. Proceeds are split equally between the lucky winners and the Society.
Your contributions go a long way towards helping the Highgate Society continue its valuable work in our community. Thanks to your generous contributions, the 50:50 Club was able to give £380 to the Highgate Society funds this year. The next draw will take place after the AGM in May.
