The "Northern Height Circuit" a new series of Self Guided Walks

The "Northern Height Circuit" has been designed to show off some of the most interesting sights of what we call London’s “Northern Heights”. The five self guided walks are sections of a much longer nine mile walk with over 220 points of interest, that’s one for every 60 yards, and the commentary gives equal balance to: distinguished people, distinctive buildings, the natural environment and social history. 

Walk 1: Highgate Village to Kenwood House

Walk 2: Highgate Village to Parliament Hill Fields

Walk 3: Parliament Hill Fields to South End Green

Walk 4: South End Green to Golders Hill Park

Walk 5: Golders Hill Park to Kenwood House

An additional walk features the evolution of domestic architecture:

Walk 6 : North Hill Challenge

so-called because the Society believes Highgate North Hill can  fairly claim the greatest diversity of styles and periods of domestic architecture of any London street.

Many people are familiar with their corner of the heath. We hope these walks will encourage north Londoners to visit parts of the Heath, and its borders, that they don’t normally visit and take new visitors off the tourist trail. Each walk is designed to start and end at a refreshment point which it is very easy to reach by public transport.
