Walks & Talks

Help needed!

The Talks part of this lively group started planning at the end of 2005 and the themed series of 3 talks in the first quarter of 2006 have certainly been a hit! Plenty has been written and discussed about the High Street and what residents and retailers want.

April 26 sees an interactive evening with Helen Day who talks with us about her grandfather’s life in Highgate and around and how and why she came to write the book about him. The local historical societies will be joining with us for this one. And there will be a walk around these mentioned spots with Helen at a later date.

We would like you to come and join this group so that an autumn series of Talks can be organised and even some summer walks perhaps.

Like any group that volunteers the bottle of wine eases the chore of planning at the get-togethers. By dividing up the tasks the jobs are made easier and don’t take as long and we all get to do the bits we like best…well usually.

Please come and join us: it is enjoyable and it is making a difference.
